BeagleConnect Prototypes

BeagleBoard.org (Open source hardware maker)

Prototype Rev A and B of BeagleConnect

We worked with Jason Kridner (BeagleBoard.org founder) and the rest of the team to define a new sensor node built upon the cc1352 chipset, which has both a 2.4GHz radio and a subgig (915 MHz in the US) radio with configurable output. The device is a sensor interface with a novel usage of greybus, a concept pioneered by the Google Project Ara team. The device can detect Click boards and automatically pull new sensors. I was in charge of figuring out chipsets, supporting circuitry, minimizing space usage, and working within the constraints of the MikroE MicroBus standard.
