About Us
Analog Life LLC is an engineering education and consulting company based in Durham NC. We are focused on helping people build real, reliable hardware in a world increasingly dominated by abstraction and automation. Its work centers on the full arc of product creation: analog and digital circuit design, embedded firmware development, low-power and sensor systems, and connected devices. Rather than teaching tools in isolation, Analog Life emphasizes mental models, system-level thinking, and hands-on intuition—the skills that only emerge when designs are built, tested, broken, and fixed.
At its core, Analog Life exists to close the gap between theory and reality. The company provides guidance, content, and services that help engineers and technical teams move from ideas to functioning products while avoiding common failure modes in hardware development. This includes technical education, documentation, and product-market fit guidance rooted in real engineering constraints, not slide decks. The through-line is pragmatic clarity: understanding how electrons, code, users, and markets actually behave when the rubber meets the road.
Our Founder
Chris Gammell is an electronics engineer, educator, and content creator with deep experience in analog design, embedded systems, and hardware troubleshooting. He is known for teaching engineers how to think and for advocating that troubleshooting is the most critical skill in modern engineering. Through his work, Chris combines technical depth with clear communication, helping individuals and teams develop the intuition needed to design, debug, and ship real-world hardware with confidence.
